1st week in Pantai Lab

working in pathology lab will not be really fun if u have limited samples to be tested with. Life gets bored easily. Waiting for lunch time, time to go back at 5pm, will basically my aim for the whole day! LOL

i seem more as a supervisor rather than a trainee. not much works to do, will just walk around and supervising what were other people doing. o.O

n i really UNDERSTAND what life will a MLT (Medical Lab Technician) has. So, well..will stick to research! hopefully! haha.

Other people in other lab, they have their schedule to be followed. While me? haha. i did office job for the 1st day! sitting in the corner, reading manual before the lunch hour. After lunch, i did some factory job! Peeling off the sticker from the microscopic slide cover, so that it can be reused.

2nd day was getting better, FILE-ING donor's particular according to their blood type in alphabetical order in blood bank.
After lunch, start my 1st time testing urine.
was doing FOMEMA in my 1st round. the job was just simple. key in labour's particular into system! oh gosh! is that what monash had teached me?! :S

Arrange the tube and urine, put sticker, dip the tester into urine n put them into the machine for absorbance reading? machine do all job! what i have to do is just pour out the sample into small tube and key in the command for drugs testing. :S

btw, i got to try out ABO type testing on the 3rd day. at least it's sth manually! Hah!
n i chase a labour back to his country! hohoho! He's positive for syphilis! n dunno why i just so interesting in hoping to see positive result on VDTL! loL! muahahhaha!

i did biochem on thursday. yet! still machinery work!

fri i did immunology. and too machinery!

sat i learn how to withdraw blood from patients! huhuhu!.
n i wish i could try once! if the patient don't mind, of cos i don't mind at all! so anyone? to be my 1st patient? hohoho! :P

and i learn how to POUR AGAR! and yeah! c! i had gone to all the dept on the 1st week! Fomema, urinology, microb, immuno, biochem...what else can i learn? o.O O.o o.o O.O

sigh! my dad pay 100k for me to learn how to withdraw blood, testing samples by which all machine do the joB?! :S haiz...n luckily monash prepare us more to the research path instead of MLT! :P

but not to denied, the people there are really very nice! =D
or cos Ah Kuq memang good in socialise? LOL! hahaha.
